Apple Dock Connector to Support DisplayPort, USB 3.0, Thunderbolt?

The patent of which we speak today is really interesting, because Apple is exploring the possibility of creating a dock connector compatible display, USB 3.0 and Thunderblot.

This connector would be able to support these three high-speed connections and although the patent expressly speaks of the iPod, it is clear that it refers to all Apple devices.

This would be an important innovation for the dock connector of iDevice, which will greatly increase the productivity of the same.

We'll see if Apple will implement this new case with the iPhone 5.
