u cant believe Sn0wbreeze to Jailbreak iPad 4.2 iOS [Beta]

e told you that ih8sn0w is working on Sn0wbreeze 2.1 after release of PwnageTool 4.1 which is also known as “WinPwnage”. No doubt, it has been delayed a bit but eventually it will be worthy for jailbreakers. Sn0wbreeze will create custom firmware for iPhone and iPod Touch running iOS 4.1 which can be restored to prevent baseband upgrade in case of iPhone. This prevention eventually enables iPhone unlockers to use current ultrasn0w.

On the course of Sn0wbreeze 2.1 development, ih8sn0w has played with iOS 4.2 whose current version is Beta 3. He has managed to jailbreak iPad 4.2 using the Limera1n Exploit and userland vulnerability by @comex. As iOS 4.2 Beta 3 was released in no time after Limera1n, the userland bug is still not fixed and ih8sn0w was able to jailbreak iPad 4.2. According to ih8sn0w

Despite the fact that he is able to jailbreak iPad 4.2 for now, the final release of iOS 4.2 will surely patch the untethered userland bug. We will have to wait for @comex’s magic wand to reveal another userland bug or iPhone Dev Team to release PwnageTool 4.2 which has been promised to jailbreak all A4 devices including iPhone 4, iPad, and iPod Touch 4g on any future firmware. iOS 4.2 will be the first firmware which will be pwned using Limera1n and @comex for life hacks. In any case, the possibilities of jailbreak iPad 4.2 are more than bright.

According to the sources at The New York Times, President of the United States Barack Obama flew to California today where he had a one-on-one meeting with Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs. Their meeting was later confirmed by Robert Gibbs, who is the press secretary at the White House.

President Obama happens to be on a West Coast campaign these days for mid-term elections. According to Robert Gibbs, President was interested in having a meeting with Apple’s Chief Executive for quite some time now.
The two met at the President’s hotel outside San Francisco shortly after he landed in the Bay Area this afternoon. Obama and Jobs reportedly talked about a number of issues such as the current economy, education, innovation and technology

PwnageTool 4.1 for Jailbreaking Apple TV 2G, iPhone 4, iPad and iPod touch 4G Now Available for Download

The iPhone Dev Team has finally released PwnageTool 4.1 which is based on recently released Geohot’s bootrom-based Limera1n exploit. This exploit enables this new version of PwnageTool to build custom firmware files for A4 devices like iPhone 4, iPad, Apple TV 2G and iPod touch 4G which was something, previously not possible.
PwnageTool 4.1 supports the following devices:

• iPhone 4 on iOS 4.1
• iPhone 3GS (new and old bootrom) on iOS 4.1
• iPhone 3G
• iPad on iOS 3.2.2
• Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.1
• iPod touch 3G / 4G on iOS 4.1

The custom firmware files which are built using PwnageTool 4.1 can be customized in a way that doesn’t include the latest 2.10.04 / 05.14.02 basebands of iOS 4.1. This is useful for iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G users who wants to unlock their phone on iOS 4.1 with older baseband using the current version of Ultrasn0w.

*Cracked* MyWi 4.8.3

Update 6 : Version 4.8.3 released ! Patch is out !! [credits to

 1. DELETE ANY previous version of MyWi

2. Install regular mywi from cydia 4.8.3 (not the crack or .deb file)

3. REBOOT

4. Open mywi to make sure it opens. It will probably say your trial expired and that you need to purchase. Ignore and close it

5. Open ifile or ssh into phone and go to var/stash/applications/mywi.app

6. Look for MyWiApp open it with text viewer and delete everything in it and paste this

Change the date to the day you installed mywi or around the day you installed it. Sometimes it takes a little trial and error to find the right date.

7. Open MyWi if you get the exit/reboot prompt, hit exit right away. then open MyWi again and hit exit right away again. Open MyWi a third time and hit Reboot. Once your phone reboots open MyWi and it should say trial expires in X days. (mine says 6 others says 3, all depends on what date works for you.)

8. Enjoy

If sometimes later you get the MyWi Not Initialized! message. (as shown above)

The easiest solution is here (do these steps in quick succession)

1. open miwi 1st time
2. when it asked to exit or reboot, click on exit 1st time
3. open mywi 2nd time
4. when it asked to exit or reboot, click on exit 2nd time
5. open mywi 3rd time
6. when it asked to exit or reboot, click on reboot 

Once you have rebooted, now open mywi, and it should work.

Everytime you run into this problem, just repeat the steps above and it should work everytime 

GreenPois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak FOR Linux is out now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Folks at Chronic Dev Team have released Linux version of GreenPois0n tool which like the Windows version can jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G and iPad on iOS 4.1and iOS 3.2.2 respectively.

However the much anticipated Mac version of GreenPois0n is still being worked on. There are apparently some technical difficulties which is hampering the release. There is currently no ETA for it yet besides that it is coming soon.

JAILBREAK iOS 4.1 with GreenPois0n

Chronic Dev Team has finally released GreenPois0n to the world. You can use it to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G and iPad. Support for iPod touch 2G and Apple TV will be added soon.

The following instructions will help you jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS using GreenPois0n.

NOTE: If you rely on an unlock, do not update to iOS 4.1 yet as doing so will upgrade your baseband, making it impossible for now to unlock. Either use TinyUmbrella to update to iOS 4.1 without update baseband (instructions here), or wait for PwnageTool which will help you cook custom firmware files for iOS 4.1 without the upgraded baseband.

Step 1: Download GreenPois0n from the link given below.

Step 2: Connect your iPhone via USB to your computer and click on "Prepare to Jailbreak (DFU)" as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 3: Now follow the following onscreen instructions:

• Press and hold the sleep button for 2 seconds

• Continue holding sleep; press and hold home for 10 seconds.

• Release sleep button; continue holding home for 15 seconds.

Step 4: Your device is now ready for jailbreak. Click on "Jailbreak" to inject the exploit.

Step 5: Your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch should now be successfully jailbroken on iOS 4.1 !

Step 6: Now start "Loader" found on the homescreen and install Cydia:

 

This is it! You are done !

Unlock for iOS 4.1 (Old Baseband) 
There is currently no way to unlock your iPhone on the latest 05.14.02 / 2.10.04 basebands. If you have managed to preserve your baseband while upgrading to iOS 4.1 using TinyUmbrella, you can use the existing version of Ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhone on iOS 4.1. Step by step instructions for unlocking can be found here.

Microsoft Launches Windows Phone 7

The day has come, dear readers! Microsoft, at their Windows Phone 7 launch event, has officially announced all the things we’ve wanted to know about WP7 since its original public unveiling in Barcelona.

You’ve got news about which carriers WP7 will come to, what phones will be available at launch and of course an explanation of just how WP7 is different from iOS, Android and Blackberry.
The Handsets
NOTE: Unless otherwise mentioned, all phones have same internals (think: A 1GHz Snapdragon, 576MB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, (at least) a 5MP camera w/ flash, GPS, HD video recording and a 800×480 screen.
Let’s start with High-Tech Computers…
HTC introduced five new smartphones. Each slightly, or in certain cases, significantly different from the other.

• 7 Surround: A 3.8” smartphone with a slideout speaker. You’ve got standard WP7 internals along with Dolby Mobile and SRS Surround Sound tech which AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega says “you just have to hear”. It will cost 199$ and will available on AT&T and Telus.
• 7 Trophy: A 3.8” smartphone. The little brother to the more luxurious 7 Mozart (see below). It will be Vodafone exclusive in countries where Vodafone is available.
• HD7: Yes! The true successor to the HD2 is now official. Internals are standard WP7. But you’ve got a nice 4.3” screen. It will be available on T-Mobile, O2, Telstra, Movistar, Bougues Telecom and a variety of careers in Italy.
• 7 Mozart: A 3.7” smartphone. Compared to the Trophy’s 5MP camera + LED flash, the Trophy offers an 8MP snapper with Xenon flash. Exclusive to Orange in specific countries.
• 7 Pro: A QWERTY slider+tilter headed for Sprint 2011.

(Trophy and Mozart are not coming to US)
Then we have Samsung…

Two phones were announced.

• Omnia 7: A 4” Super AMOLED coming to AT&T at 199$
• Focus: Another 4” Super AMOLED but this one is slated for Europe only. It will be carried by Orange, SFR, Movistar and T-Mobile in Europe.

Dell has a 4.1” portrait QWERTY slider called Venue Pro that will be exclusive to T-Mobile in US at launch. It is pictured below:

And lastly, you’ve got LG’s Optimus 7 (3.8”) and Quantum (3.5”; exclusive to AT&T). Both can be seen in the picture below (Optimus on left, Quantum [known as Optimus 7Q outside US] on right)

Other News from Launch Event
At the launch event, Steve Ballmer talked about how WP7 is very different from other mobile operating systems. WP7’s slogan is Glance and Go.

"Microsoft and its partners are delivering a different kind of mobile phone and experience – one that makes everyday tasks faster by getting more done in fewer steps and providing timely information in a ‘glance and go’ format."  – Ballmer

By glance-able information, Ballmer is referring to WP7’s Live Tiles that act like widgets on the homescreen. Xbox Live Hub is also a big BIG WP7 feature. You’ve also got the Metro UI which focuses on typography and negative space; this is how next-gen UIs should look like! Other than that, there’s the full Microsoft Office Mobile suite of software, full Zune compatibility, Bing Search and Maps, Windows Live. [via Engadget]

Yahoo messenger Video calling using iPhone

Yahoo Messenger app for iPhone received a significant update today which enables video and voice calling from the iPhone client to virtually any Yahoo Messenger account in the world. You can now make iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 video calls, as well as iPhone 4 to PC / Mac and vice versa.
Moreover, it also supports video and voice calling over 3G networks, unlike Apple’s FaceTime feature. Unfortunately though, video calling using iPod touch 4G isn’t supported yet, and we are not sure why is that, given that the front-facing camera on both the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G are same.

Yeah, its possible!!! Limera1n Can Jailbreak Apple TV 2G as well !!

On Limera1n’s official website, hacker geohot writes: “AppleTV is technically supported, but there’s no apps yet”. So yes, while you can jailbreak it, i.e. have administrator access, there really is no use for it for now.

TUAW writer Erica Sadun confirms that she was able to get her Apple TV into DFU mode and was able to jailbreak it using Limera1n.

INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO Jailbreak Your iPhone 3Gs/iPod Touch 3G/iPad/iPhone

NOTE: if you need to unlock your iPhone, do not use this tool. Wait for the iPhone DevTeam to release PwnageTool, or update using TinyUmbrella to preserve your baseband. Here’s a tutorial… (iPhone 4 ONLY !!! )

NOTE: To those having “iTunesMobileDevice2.dll” error w/limera1n goto “Programfiles(x86)/Common Files/Apple/Mobile Device Support” save and remove “iTunesMobileDevice2.dll” copy and paste “iTunesMobileDevice.dll” rename copy to “iTunesMobileDevice2.dll” run limera1n with no errors!


You need:

• limera1n
• iOS 4.0 , 4.0.2, 4.0.2, 4.1 and above
• iPhone 3Gs, iPod Touch 3G, iPad, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G

How to:

1. Download limera1n, and iOS 4.1 on your desktop.
2. Your iOS device(s) must already run a supported stock iOS. DO NOT restore and use this tool if you need to unlock. If you need to preserver your baseband to unlock, restore your iPhone 4 ( ONLY!!!!) device through TinyUmbrella ( link above )

NOTE: before you restore, save your SHSH blobs, if you didn’t do it already. Tutorial here…

3. Run Limera1n
4. Click on make it ra1n
5. Your iOS device will enter in recovery mode
6. Now you will need to press the Home+Power button to enter the device in DFU mode. Follow instructions on the screen…
7. Now, you will see the image of a lime ra1ndrop on your device’s screen.
8. After a few seconds Limera1n will let you know that it’s done..
9. After your iOS device powers back on, you will see a new icon on the HomeScreen called Limera1n. Load it…
10. Once Limera1n opens select Cydia then press the Install button at the top right of the screen.
