How to Make YouTube Video Load Faster on Your iDevice

The YouTube app on iOS is a funny one, if you’re on 3G it loads in low quality and quickly, and if you’re on WiFi it loads in very high quality and slowly, there’s no medium. To fix this problem, you’ll need to be jailbroken, and have either OpenSSH or iFile installed on your iPhone. I’ll be using iFile, but the process is nearly identical for both methods.1. Open iFile and browse to /Sytem/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app, and then open the file called “N90AP.plist”

2. Then, look for the key called “720p” and make sure that underneath it the value is “false”. All you have to do is delete the word “true” and replace it with “false”.

Once you’ve done that, tap the save button and reboot your iPhone. Now videos should load in 360p instead of 720p
