How to Free Up Space On Your Computer By Deleting Extra iOS Backups "Mac Users"

"Are my backups and firmware taking up space on your computer?"
As many of you with iOS devices probably know, your computer can back up your all the data and settings on your iPhone. In fact, anytime you plan on jailbreaking a device, or running any kind of modification, we suggest backing up your data.
However, sometimes, you may want to get rid of some of those extra backups that are stored on your computer taking up space. After all, do you need the backup from four months ago if you have something more current?

To get rid of old backups, you launch iTunes.
Go to your preferences and under devices, you can highlight an old backup and hit the "Delete Backup..."  button.

You can also get rid of firmware you don't need by heading into the following:

Getting rid of some of those old files will definitely help you free up space. Of course, that's only if you absolutely need it. Average users may not have to worry about filling up a 250GB hard drive, but we are sure many out there could benefit from the extra space
