Comex was quietly working on userland exploit since iPad 2′s launch and even hinted previously about browser based jailbreak method. Those who are unfamiliar, JailbreakMe 2.0 (currently patched by Apple) used the PDF exploit to jailbreak iOS 4.0.1 firmware. User was asked to visit a Web site JailbreakMe.com via mobile safari browser, which hosts ane xploit code written by comex to bypass the digital code signatures.
This method can be executed on any device, with both old and new iBoot, Unlike previous methods, JailbreakMe works in a whole new way: you don’t need any PC / Mac or cable but just a simple internet connection and Mobile Safari.
This method was so quick and easy that some of them thought of giving a shot inside Apple stores. And yes they actually did it by jailbreaking idevices within stores. Currently, no ETA has been cited so far. We are just waiting for comex to share the details about the new hack.
