Steps
Uninstall iTunes. Just drag iTunes from your Applications folder to the trash.
In Finder, navigate to ~/Music/iTunes. (When you upgrade to 10.5, the library file is updated and disables you from downgrading. You simply change it back to the old one which is saved for you.)
Rename iTunes Library.itl to iTunes Library.bak
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder, find the file with the most recent date. Be sure it has the file extension .itl
Copy that file into the parent folder ~/Music/Itunes and rename it to iTunes Library.itl
If you don’t have it already, download the latest stable iTunes installer from Apple.com/iTunes
If you followed the steps correctly, you should be able to successfully install iTunes.
