Leaked links to iOS 6 beta

MacRumors reports:

The Chinese Forum WeiPhone.com has posted links to iOS 6 beta that was expected to be released after tomorrow's WWDC 2012 Keynote. The links are throwing an "Access Denied" error message, but they suggest that Apple may be dropping support for iPad 2 and third-generation iPod Touch.

  • The accuracy of the claim can not be confirmed given that the links are not yet pointing to the files, but clicking on the links does take users to an error page stating "Your session has expired." Altering the URLs to reference a different build number or making other changes yields an "Access denied" error message, suggesting that there is indeed something unique about the leaked URLs.

WeiPhone.com has also posted a link of developer preview of Safari 6 for OS X Lion.

We were expecting Apple to drop support for iPhone 3GS, so it should come as good news that iOS 6 will be compatible with iPhone 3GS. We're intrigued by Apple's decision to drop support for the original iPad as both iPad 1 and iPhone 4 are powered by the A4 chip and iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G are powered by even slower processors.

Here's the full list of download links via WeiPhone (which as we mentioned earlier, are giving a "Your session has expired" error message):

Third-generation iPad

iPad 2
