TomTom is Coming to iPad

Are you a TomTom iPhone app user? Do you have an iPad as well? Well then, good news for you, TomTom iPhone app is about to be turned universal. In other words, will be able to install TomTom on your iPad and it won’t cost existing TomTom iPhone app owners a penny.

You we will be getting a screen upgrade from iPhone’s 3.7″ screen to iPad’s 9.7″ Screen and some new features as well.

According to the guys at Pocket-Lint, who were able to get some good hands on the iPad TomTom app, have reported:

What you benefit from on the iPad is the superb size and sensitivity of the touchscreen, the like of which satnavs have been failing to ape for years. What that real estate now means is that there’s space to split the screen with window views within. Practically speaking, that means that you don’t have to surf the menus and experience the advanced lane guidance view as a screen switch but instead at the very same time along side the route map.

Now a whole bunch of iPad car docks will be coming out as carrying an iPad is not easy as compared to iPhone, lets see whats next. The TomTom app will be only available for the iPad 3G’s as the Wi-Fi only models do not support GPS.
