This is quick heads-up! p0sixninja of Chronic Dev Team is now confirming that the team is hard at work to finish jailbreaking second generation iPad. Earlier, the userland exploit by comex to jailbreak iPad 2 was fixed by Apple engineers in iOS 4.3.1.
Since 4.3.1 is already exploited by the legendary @i0n1c, we’re working on finishing iPad2 jailbreak now.
The tweet points that they have already discovered the exploit and are ironing out minor bugs. It is still unclear, whether they have found an exploit or not. If an exploit is bootrom or userland based? Tethered or untethered?
[Update 1]: The ipad2 Jailbreak exploit (Untethered ) seems to be in rudimentary stage and might take take for prime-time availability.
