Mobile Substrate (Fixed by Saurik) on Jailbroken iOS 4.3 [INSTRUCTION]

Apple implemented ASLR on the new iOS 4.3 which broke earlier versions of mobile substrate. It is already possible to untether jailbreak iOS 4.3 and now you can also install the updated version of mobile substrate (mobilesubstrate_0.9.3367+6.g629fcfa_iphoneos-arm.deb) which was fixed by Saurik. That means you can now install your favorite apps and tweaks from Cydia on your jailbroken iOS 4.3 based devices.

Here’s how to do it (Windows users only):

1. Jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 4.3
2. Download mobile substrate [mobilesubstrate_0.9.3367+6.g629fcfa_iphoneos-arm.deb]
3. Download i-FunBox for Windows
4. Launch i-FunBox and copy the .deb file to Private/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstalldirectory
5. Reboot your iPhone (remember currently it’s still tethered, use iBooty as explained in Step 1)
6. Launch Cydia and Search for Mobile Substrate. You should now have the latest version that supports iOS 4.3.

Final note: ultrasn0w is still broken on iOS 4.3 – this is not meant for unlockers. So stay away from iOS 4.3 for now.
